THE MYSTERIOUS MEANING OF NUMBER 666

The identification of the lamb beast. It is the name of a man, or, possibly, a set of men, or, an institution headed by a man or set of men. A name, the letters of which, when regarded as numerals, total 666.         In Hebrew, the numeral value of the letters of “Nero Caesar”, when added, make 666 [“Nero Caesar”, 616, marginal reading]. Nero was, indeed, a beast, but it is a far cry to call him a Lamb-Like beast.      In Greek, [the book was written in Greek], the letters of “Lateinos” total 666: L, 30; A, 1; T, 300; E, 5; 1, 10; N, 50; O, 70; S, 200. Lateinos means “The Latin Kingdom”. It was so understood by Irenaeus, who was a pupil of Polycarp, who was a pupil of John, and bishop of Smyrna at the time the book was written. Latin was the language of Rome. Papal Rome made Latin its official language. And it still is. Among all nations of all languages. Its prayers, canons, missals, breviaries, decrees, bulls, worships, blessings, a

THE REAL PURPOSE OF JESUS MIRACLES

They were usually wrought by the act of Jesus’ will, or by his word; sometimes by his touch, or the laying on of his hands. Occasionally he used saliva.            Jesus’ miracles imply an exercise of creative power. They accord with his miraculous origin, sinless nature, and moral perfection. They were a part of God’s way of authenticating Jesus’ mission. Jesus said that if he had not done works that no other ever did, they would not have had sin, thus indicating that he regarded his miracles as proofs that he was from God. Then, too, his miracles were the natural expression of his sympathy for suffering humanity.            Aside from supernatural manifestations, such as the angelic announcements , the virgin birth, the star that guided the wise-men, Jesus passing through hostile mobs, cleansing the temple, his transfiguration, the soldiers falling, the darkness at the crucifixion, the veil rent, the tombs opened, the earthquake, Jesus’ resurrection, angel appe

THE MYSTERY OF CREATION

There has been no mystery which has intrigued man’s mind more than that of creation. How and even why did all things, the whole world, come into existence? Was it through spontaneous means, or was it predetermined? If it was spontaneous, was there a previously created contributing substance? To cite chaos as the spring from which the world came forth simply precipitates the question as to whether chaos had a quality in itself. If it had, then what was its origin?         If one accepts the alternative, that is, the concept of a predetermined reason, he enters the realm of teleology, or mind as the motivating force of creation. This assumes that creation was a primary idea, an objective to be attained; that it was predetermined.        This conception engenders the idea of an embodied mind residing in a thinking, reasoning entity. The only parallel we have for such a mental capacity is the human mind. Therefore, it is quit
